Hay Analysis

Getting your hay tested is the only way to know for sure what you are feeding. This is especially important if you have any horses with special dietary requirements, such as a horse that has been diagnosed with equine metabolic syndrome that requires a diet low in nonstructural carbohydrates (NSC). For these horses, NSC should be 10-12% of the dry matter or less to lower the risk of hyperinsulinemia and laminitis.
